Tennessee Lottery players can expect a high-tech makeover in the coming years, thanks to a new deal with IGT. The lottery giant just inked a nine-year contract extension, bringing cutting-edge upgrades that promise to streamline operations and enhance the playing experience.

From sleek new terminals to smarter systems, the future of the Tennessee Lottery is looking brighter — and more high-tech — than ever.

New contract extension

While IGT and the 168极速赛车官方入口:Tennessee Education Lottery are currently under a partnership, the pair announced today that they have now signed a nine-year contract extension. With this extension, it begins in June 2027 and runs through June 2036.

The TEL and IGT have been working together since 2004.

What does the new contract bring?

With this contract extension, lottery players in Tennessee should see some high-tech upgrades coming to the lottery system. IGT will deploy its high-performing Aurora central system.

In addition, they will be providing upgrades to some back-office business applications for lottery officials, as well as replacing existing lottery terminals with newly launched terminals. They are also providing new Keno Show Controllers with WiFi capabilities and upgrades to the communication network.

Rebecca Paul, Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation President and Chief Executive Officer, said:

For more than 20 years, IGT has been a trusted partner to the Tennessee Education Lottery, providing innovative solutions that have supported our consistent growth. One of our core missions is supporting educational programs in Tennessee, and since our inception, we have raised more than $7.5 billion for our state. We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with IGT, whose advanced technology will assist in responsibly increasing both sales and our contributions to Tennessee education.

In a statement, Jay Gendron, IGT Chief Operation Officer, Global Lottery, said:

IGT has been committed to bringing best-in-class lottery solutions to the Tennessee Education Lottery since its inception. Through this nine-year contract extension, we are excited to bring new technological upgrades to the Lottery, providing them with the systems and equipment needed to drive performance for its players and the good causes it serves in the state.

New upgraded technology

What will these new upgrades do for the TEL and its players? It will allow for intuitive, user-friendly applications, tools, and reporting capabilities. These new components of the central system will help streamline operations for lottery officials, which will provide players with optimal functionality.

With the new terminals being installed, lottery officials will be able to easily add new features across multiple point-of-sale terminals at the same time. This will allow players to quickly and reliably see if they are winners on their draw game and instant tickets.

IGT and other states

IGT doesn't solely work with the Tennessee Education Lottery. They are the primary technology provider to 26 of the 46 lotteries in the United States.

In addition, they also are the primary technology providers for eight of the world's largest 10 lotteries and 16 of the world's top 25 lotteries.

Enjoy playing the Tennessee Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
