For some Maryland Lottery players, April 2 wasn't quite as lucky as it should have been. A technical glitch has put a temporary hold on cashing in winning CASH POP tickets, leaving some winners in limbo.

But don't toss those tickets just yet — lottery officials are working to fix the issue. So, what went wrong, and when can players expect to claim their prizes?

A glitch in the system

A ticket cashing problem has caused some issues for 168极速赛车官方入口:Maryland Lottery players. Because of that, lottery officials are advising players to hold onto any tickets from the April 2 CASH POP drawings while they work to resolve the issue.

According to lottery officials, there is a technical issue that is preventing the redemption of winning tickets from the affected drawings. The drawings that were impacted by this technical issue were the 9:00 a.m. EST and 1:00 p.m. EST CASH POP games. For those drawings, the winning numbers were 13 and 5, respectively.

Work is being done to fix the issue

Maryland Lottery officials said that work is underway to correct the problem. Once the issue is resolved, all players holding onto a winning ticket will be able to cash in that ticket.

There was no timeline given for when the issue will be resolved, but lottery officials said they are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. CASH POP winners must wait until the ticket issue is fixed, so they are encouraged to hold onto their tickets until further notice from the Maryland Lottery.

How to play CASH POP

For those unfamiliar with this draw game, CASH POP was first launched on May 6, 2024. The game features drawings that are held four times a day (9:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 1:001 p.m.).

For each drawing, there is one winning POP (number) that is selected from a range of 1 to 15. Players can purchase tickets for as little as $1 per POP per drawing, up to $10 per POP per drawing. The cost of your ticket is determined by the amount you wager per POP ($1, $2, $5, or $10); the number of POPS played per drawing (can be from a single POP to all 15); and the number of advanced drawings purchased (up to 10 consecutive drawings).

For the drawings, each POP has a 1 in 15 chance of being drawn. Your chances of winning increase when you play more POPS per draw.

The top prizes range from $250 to $2,500, based on the amount you bet per POP. The minimum prize is 5X the amount that was played for that POP, so if you bet $1 per POP then you would win $5 if that POP is drawn.

Claiming your prize

When the technical issue is fixed, players will be able to redeem their winning CASH POP tickets. Any winning ticket valued up to $600 can be redeemed at any Maryland Lottery retailer.

For those lucky players with winning tickets valued at more than $600, those can be redeemed at Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations, 168极速赛车官方入口:which can be found here.

Enjoy playing the Maryland Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
